Each nominee will be recognized on social media and will receive a certificate, a marigold, and a special book. Our overall winner will also receive a $100 Amazon gift card to continue to build their classroom library. Please nominate AND forward to your teachers so that they may do the same! :) Jen Banks was a beloved teacher and school improvement coach who passed away as the result of a tragic automobile accident in December 2015. Her love for learning and the students that she worked with was an inspiration to many. Jen’s positive, supportive, and energetic attitude nurtured those around her and helped them to grow. In celebration of Jen’s life and dedication to learning, ROE 47 has created an award in her honor. As Jen worked with many elementary and middle schools in the Sauk Valley area, this award is open to K-8 Whiteside County teachers, para-educators & administrators. 5A'S 3D CITY
The 5th graders have been working in Tinker Cad to create and design their own cities. 5A's city has been printed via the 3D printers by Mr. Dail. We took a little time to make a few roads and arrange our banks, college, mall, restaurants, gas station, museum, homes, city hall, police station, fire station, sky scrapers, and other various office buildings. The students really enjoyed researching and designing their various buildings and seeing them printed.

Description: This is a Click n’ Go one hour of Professional Development and networking and sharing ideas with other librarians in the 24 school districts in Lee, Ogle, and Whiteside Counties. These networking sessions are for paraprofessionals (Library Aides) as well as School Library Media Specialists. Join us to network and participate in timely and relevant professional learning conversations related to your library-media experience. We will have monthly one-hour networking session via zoom from 3:30-4:30 pm. The first session is scheduled for Tuesday, September 28, 2021.
