Amboy High School is just one of many area schools participating in the ROE 47 Education Pathway Grant, promoting college and career readiness.

BENNY'S CORNER MARKET AND EXXON MOBILE JOIN HANDS TO SUPPORT
Stillman Valley, IL – Meridian C.U.S.D. #223 is pleased to announce the receipt of a
generous grant from Laura Thomas, site manager for Benny's Corner Market in
collaboration with ExxonMobil.
The ExxonMobil Foundation’s Educational Matching Gift Program is intended to
encourage support for accredited U.S. institutions of higher education by employees,
retirees and surviving spouses. The intent of the program is to encourage volunteerism
through worthwhile and genuinely charitable activities in local communities. A $500
grant is awarded to an eligible, charitable nonprofit organization after an individual
volunteer or team of volunteers contributes at least 20 hours of their time to the
organization during a calendar year.
The partnership between Benny's Corner Market and ExxonMobil exemplifies their
commitment to supporting community organizations that are making a meaningful
impact in the Ogle County area.
"We are fortunate to partner with Exxon Mobil along with our local Benny’s Corner
Market and the outstanding employees in our community. We are so thankful for the
generous donation to SVHS," said Leslie Showers, Principal at Stillman Valley High
School.

Developing a School Wide Trauma-Responsive Action Plan

There is a growing need for schools to focus on becoming more trauma responsive, but where do you start? REACH, a statewide initiative, promotes the development of SEL and trauma responsiveness through targeted, data-driven action planning. This full day event leads teams through the assessment and action planning process. Additionally, teams will review common language surrounding trauma and engage in guided consensus to identify targeted areas for growth.
Participants will:
Evaluate school-wide Trauma Responsiveness in 8 domains.
Identify areas of priority by guided consensus for each domain.
Create an SEL action plan of identified areas of need.
Identify resources and training opportunities for each domain.
