Friday's School Celebration Central Elementary School, Amboy Mrs. Rodriguez & Mrs. Burke Our Blast Off to Module 2 Book tasting was a huge success. We tried calamari on Thursday to end our shark and squid unit. We had a directional hunt around the school on Monday and a map game on Wednesday. The students declared it the best week ever!!

Tech Tuesday Media Literacy: Helping Students Make Sense of their Digital World Facilitator: Ben Sondgeroth Tuesday, February 8th (3:30 - 4:30 p.m.) Can your students spot fake news? Do they know how to evaluate sources for research? Are they aware of how social media works and its impact on their everyday life? Our students are immersed in more digital media than any previous generation, making media literacy skills more critical than ever. Join this session to develop your own media literacy awareness, explore resources and lesson materials, and prepare to teach key concepts to your students so they can safely access, analyze, and create digital media. This session will be interactive as you will experience lessons the way students will - rich with self-reflection, analysis, and discussion. This workshop is geared towards grades 6-12, and will address the new Media Literacy mandate in HB0234. From 9-10 we will have updates on IRIS, the Birth to Five Action Council, and hear local program updates. From 10-11 we will transition to our Community-Based Planning for Expansion Project work.
