As another school year begins, we would like to introduce the ROE 47 programming staff, serving Lee, Ogle and Whiteside counties. Make sure to check out our Tuesday posts as we continue to introduce the friendly faces that are here to serve you! Gail Wright has been with ROE 47 for many years, serving in many capacities. She is currently the Pathway Data and Video Project Coordinator, Workplace Wednesday Coordinator, College & Career Readiness Coordinator, Induction and Mentoring and New Teacher Coordinator. Gail’s favorite thing about working for ROE 47 is the people she works with and the fact that she is constantly learning and growing. When she is not wearing her ‘many hats’ at the ROE, she enjoys reading and is involved in several service organizations including the Rotary, Power of the Purse and IRTA. Gail has 2 children and 4 grandchildren and spends time attending their activities, as well. Gail is looking forward to working with new teachers this year and the learning opportunities that come along with the services provided to the area school districts.

The Pathway program is excited to kick off another year with our area partnering schools. This week we are happy to feature Rock Falls High School. Rock Falls High School has implemented Pathways in Education and Manufacturing. This year Xello, an online program that engages students in a career exploration journey, will be used in many of the classrooms to encourage career exploration and to identify students for these programs. In the Education program, 6 students are participating in a 60 hours experience at the middle school and elementary schools in the area. During this time they will be working with students and experiencing the teaching profession. The Manufacturing Pathway are onboarding students to earn the endorsement.
