National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day February 15th is National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day! According to the National Association of School Resource Officers, "The organization chose Feb. 15 for National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day because it falls during the traditional academic year and is the birthdate of Archie Hodge, the only NASRO founding member who remains active on the organization’s board of directors. Hodge, of Jackson, Mississippi, retired from law enforcement in 2006 after serving as an SRO for 22 years."

Our goal is to collaborate services with students, families, and schools to address causes of absenteeism and create a resolution to academic success by providing supportive services. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred. This is a 10 month position with the last day being June 15th. IMRF is offered. Health benefits are not offered. ROE 47 & the Pathway Program would like to extend a special thank you to all who participated and presented at the "Cultivating Connections in Agriculture" event on Friday, at Tettens Grain, Inc. Thank you to Danelle Burrs with Lee County Farm Bureau, Katie Pratt with Ag in the Classroom and John Heiser, District 1 FCAE for recognizing the importance of curriculum and work based learning, working hard to coordinate this event. A panel of past state FFA officers shared their journey through ag classes, FFA, college and career; illustrating to the audience the importance of all. Collegiate and high school students were on hand to talk about the importance of SAE's and leadership experience. To end the day, attendees were gifted a swag bag, filled with projects created by FFA members. The Agriculture Pathway endorsement work continues in Lee, Ogle and Whiteside counties. Friday's School Celebration Submitted by Jeffrey Hoese, Principal Fulton Elementary School Hot Chocolate Day! Students in KA had fun having a Hot Chocolate Day! Students made hats, did hot chocolate math, and made a hot chocolate booklet. They even had a sight word snowball fight under the lights of falling snow! Students who wanted, enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate, complete with whipped cream. It was a fun and tasty day in KA.
