PFAE (Preschool for All)
The Regional Office of Education #47 opened 2 full day classrooms at Open Sesame in Dixon and 2 full day classrooms at the YMCA in Dixon!
What is PFAE? Preschool for ALL children! We want to make sure we are accommodating the needs in our area! At school they will be following a play based learning curriculum. This means they will be playing a majority of the time but with a learning structure! This will allow the children to grow their development through engaging playful activities, promoting cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills.

Licensure Specialist - The Licensure Specialist is responsible for administering educator licensure services within the Regional Office of Education in accordance with the requirements of the Illinois State Board of
Education (ISBE) and applicable provisions of the Illinois School Code. The position provides guidance and technical assistance to educators, school districts, and the public regarding educator licensure requirements, applications, and compliance with state regulations.
Qualifications
● Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
â—Ź Experience in education administration, human resources, or licensing processes
preferred.
â—Ź Strong knowledge of computer systems and ability to learn the Educator Licensure
Information System (ELIS).
â—Ź Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
â—Ź Ability to interpret state regulations and apply them accurately.

â—Ź Ability to manage confidential information.
â—Ź Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.

Jen Banks was a beloved teacher and school improvement coach who passed away as the result of a tragic automobile accident in December 2015. Her love for learning and the students that she worked with was an inspiration to many. Jen’s positive, supportive, and energetic attitude nurtured those around her and helped them to grow. In celebration of Jen’s life and dedication to learning, ROE 47 has created an award in her honor. As Jen worked with many elementary and middle schools in the Sauk Valley area, this award is open to PK-8 Whiteside County teachers, para-educators & administrators.
Marigolds exist in our schools - encouraging, supporting and nurturing teachers. They are leaders in their community, classrooms, and families. They have a love of learning and sharing that learning with others. Help us to honor Jen and these exemplary leaders in your school communities. Education Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in a human service field preferred. Experience working in education, or with youth preferred.
Job Goal: To provide students with a positive pattern of engagement at school, fuel motivation, and foster development of the life skills needed for graduation and post high school learning and careers.

What are preschool screenings? A screening is a perfect way for educators to evaluate the level each individual child is at, that way they can be better prepared for the classroom! We screen areas of motor skills, language skills and cognitive skills!
