Have you ever heard of the PWR Act?
The Postsecondary & Workforce Readiness Act was enacted into law in 2016 in all Illinois schools. All Illinois high school students will have the opportunity to participate in programs that are designed to support students in preparing for future education or careers. Students will be supported through early career exploration, career-focused instruction and work based learning.
ROE47 and SVCC are partnering with area schools to implement these programs.
If you are looking for more information on this law, affecting all Illinois schools, contact Pathway Navigators, Chanda McDonnell email@example.com and Heather Waninger firstname.lastname@example.org.
Over the next few weeks, ROE47 will be communicating further details about the 4 components of the PWR Act and how it can help your students be prepared for their future.
